something for everybody was the second half of my third year final major project, while i was studying at university of gloucestershire. for as long as i can remember, vinyl and music has been part of my life. once every single year, my dad would get up at 2am to go and queue outside his favourite local independent record store, trading post (in stroud, gloucestershire) in anticipation for the opening time of record store day. in 2022, i created a photobook documenting trading post and its lead-up to record store day, and spoke to the owner simon vincent about the impact of rsd on independent record stores and the comeback of vinyl.
